‘Tis the season to celebrate. Because it’s so full of joy, you can’t help but do just that. This year, we’re spreading even more joy through the vibrant colors of our limited edition Exotic Collection. Arctic blasts, plummeting mercury levels, snowed-out stadiums – Old Man Winter is officially here, and showing no restraint in whipping his winds about the nation. Here at UGG, we have one thing to say to that: Bring it. From weekend cabin retreats to the daily grind, UGG has you covered on the warm, cozy, and unquestionably cute front.
In the interest of evidentiary support, we enlisted Jacey from Damsel in Dior to put our winter wonders to the test in Aspen with a few of her equally fashionable friends. They started things off with a trek through the breathtaking landscape, keeping things nice and toasty in sleek waterproof boots, chunky knit headbands, and neutral-hued scarves. Back at the lodge, they cozied up to the hearth in our beloved slippers and super-snuggly blankets for fireside chats ‘n’ snacks. Style points: UGG: 1, Winter: 0.
There’s no season quite as captivating as the holidays. It’s a season full of magic. Everything gleams a little brighter and there’s an unmistakable warmth felt throughout the season. From the twinkle of snowflakes to the shimmer of lights, we can’t help but fall head over heels for the season. That’s why this year we added even more sparkle with our glimmering holiday styles. Go ahead, skip, leap, and dance your way through the season with a little extra shimmer in your step.
To the naked eye, the tweed that punctuates our Fall ’14 line looks like your traditional, menswear inspired textile. Well, it just so happens that there’s a backstory. Literally. This fall we took a page from best-loved books. We created a collection inspired by the characters, settings and eras that captured our hearts. Betwixt the pages of these great adventures we pulled inspiration for textiles, prints, hues, and embellishments.
Channeling a collegiate prep school vibe, this season’s Woolrich tweed was inspired by The Catcher in the Rye, which takes place in NYC in the 1940s. The novel is rife with old-world articles and traditional textiles like wool, tweed and twill. Classic East Coast prep school colors combine with rich, burnished leather for a look that’s classic, yet modern. Point in fact? Our rich, full-grain leather used in the Brompton Tweed boot was directly inspired by the main character’s well-worn leather book bag. We told you there was a backstory.
A few weeks back, we asked the guys behind Whiskey Grade to give our Made in America Collection a test run. They suggested a road trip from New Hampshire to Wisconsin. On motorcycles. Let’s be real, is there any other way to test-drive a pair of boot than with an actual test drive? We think not.
We hooked up the team with a pair of our Jonesboro boots. They just so happen made in America with 100% materials sourced right here, at home, in the US of A. And of course, we couldn’t let them hit the open road without a trusty old standby of ours, the ever-popular Noxon boot.
After a couple thousand miles, the team sent us back some snaps from their journey. If only these boots could talk.
